1. Enquiries and submitted review forms
Sending an enquiry or submitting review information creates a case record but does not by itself mean that payment has been taken or that paid work has started. For fixed-price online services, secure payment is a separate step after the case reference is created. If you no longer want us to contact you about an unpaid or unaccepted enquiry, email support@taxcomply.ie and quote the TaxComply reference if you have one.
2. Consumer cooling-off period
If you are a consumer and enter a TaxComply service contract at a distance, you will normally have 14 days from the date the contract is concluded to cancel without giving a reason. You can cancel by sending us any clear statement that you want to cancel.
3. If you ask us to start work immediately
You may ask us to begin before the 14-day period ends. For consumer online engagements, we use a separate unticked acceptance box to record that request. The request only takes effect for paid work once the service scope and price have been confirmed and the required payment has been completed. If you then cancel before the service is complete, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work already supplied. If the service is fully performed during the cancellation period after the required express request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right may no longer apply.
Your case acknowledgement records the engagement choices submitted through the website. Where an online payment step is later completed, the payment/contract confirmation should be retained with that acknowledgement for your records.
4. How to cancel
Email support@taxcomply.ie with the subject “Cancellation request”. Include your name, case reference, the service and a clear statement that you want to cancel. We will acknowledge the request by email.
To: TaxComply Ireland / support@taxcomply.ie
I am giving notice that I wish to cancel my contract for the following TaxComply service:
Service: __________ Case reference: __________
Name: __________ Address: __________
Date contract agreed: __________ Date: __________
5. Refund timing
Where a refund is legally due, we will process it without undue delay and within the applicable statutory timeframe, normally back through the payment method/provider used for the original transaction where that route is available. If work was validly started at your express request during the cancellation period, any lawful proportionate charge for work already supplied may be deducted where applicable.
6. If there is a problem with the service
Cooling-off rights are separate from your rights where a paid service is not supplied as agreed or is not in conformity with the contract. Contact support@taxcomply.ie with your case reference so we can investigate. Nothing on this page limits mandatory consumer remedies.
